We KNOW Santa’s elves aren’t the only ones already working on holiday projects for good little boys and girls, and ahem, maybe for ourselves too {wink, wink}. And ReUse Market would like to reward your creativity!
So, we’re hosting a Stocking Contest, with guest judges awarding prizes for Best Use of Recycled Material and Thinking Outside the Box.
Guest Judges include:
Metalsmith and Jewelry Designer, Kay Seurat
Artist and Owner of BeeWise Goods, Gabrielle Krake
Designer and Owner of 60gritt Home Decor, Stacy Rosenbaum-Weeks
Top prizes include a gift basket full of thoughtful goods from BeeWise Goods, a driftwood christmas tree from Flowers at Will, home decor from 60gritt, and more!

You can also be a judge by joining us on December 9, 2015, to vote for the People’s Choice awards. Stop by Grind Modern Burger at 705 W. Fulton St., Boise ID 83702 anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. (voting ends at 8:30 p.m.) to cast your vote and see the winning creations!
Official Rules for ReUse Market’s Stocking Contest:
No cost to enter, must submit a valid entry form to be considered for prizes. Entry forms can be picked up at the ReUse Market during normal operating hours (generally noon to 5 p.m., Thursday thru Saturday): 3777 W Chinden Blvd., Garden City ID 83714. Entry forms will also be posted electronically on the ReUse Market’s Facebook page.
Entry forms will collect your name, age category, a description of the materials used including the % of recycled content, and a valid email address. Contestants will automatically be subscribed to the ReUse Market newsletter. You may choose to unsubscribe at any time. Invalid email addresses will automatically be disqualified from winning prizes.
Requirements: 50% of the project needs to use recycled materials (e.g. upholstery fabric, repurposed sweaters, paper products, carpet samples, suede, etc., go wild, use your imagination!)
Entries (finished stocking & entry form) must be received at the ReUse Market by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 and will be ready for pick up at the conclusion of the contest on Dec. 9, 2015, or during normal Market hours (noon-5 p.m., Thurs-Sat), beginning Dec. 10, 2015. Entries not picked up by Jan. 9, 2016 become property of the ReUse Market.
ReUse Market reserves the right to convert the contest into a random prize drawing on the night of Dec. 9 2015, if fewer than ten (10) entries are received.
All winners will be announced on or around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2015 at Grind Modern Burger and Postmodern Brewers: 705 W. Fulton Street, Boise ID 83702
There are four prize categories — two chosen by guest judges and two people’s choice awards.
Guest Judges will award the following categories:
Grand Prize for Best Use of Recycled Materials; Second Prize for Thinking Outside the Box.
Guest Judges include metalsmith and jewelry designer, Kay Seurat; Artist and Owner of BeeWise Goods, Gabrielle Krake; Owner and Designer of 60gritt Home Decor, Stacy Rosenbaum-Weeks. Additional judges or substitution judges may be necessary, and will be done at the discretion of the Board of ReUse Market.
Guest judges and ReUse Market Board Members are ineligible for top prizes. Guest Judges are eligible for People’s Choice awards.
People’s Choice Awards will be voted on by the general public from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 9th 2015 at Grind Modern Burger and Postmodern Brewery, and awarded by age category: one each for Adults, and Under 18; or first and second place People’s Choice Awards for adults, if there are no entries in the Under 18 age category.
